Gow Victor & Co. Joins Malaysia Business Delegation to Hainan
From 12 to 17 April 2026, Gow Victor & Co. took part in the Malaysia Business Delegation to Hainan, China, organised by Intrinsic SEA. Managing Partner JJ Gow joined Victor and Rowie in meetings that brought Malaysian business representatives together with stakeholders in the region.
A highlight of the visit was a discussion with senior representatives of the Sanya Yazhou Bay Authority, including He Qingsong, Deputy Director of Industry Promotion, and Sanya Vice Mayor Fan Mu. The conversation offered a closer view of Yazhou Bay’s role within the Hainan Free Trade Port and its focus on technology, the digital economy, life sciences, marine innovation and international investment collaboration.
The delegation also heard about Hainan’s approach to supporting investors, from government services and enterprise support to talent and intellectual property initiatives. These exchanges gave our team useful context for understanding how the region is presenting cross-border opportunities to businesses considering the China market.
